    Why Creator Access requires payment

    Overview

Creator Access funds premium community capabilities and is included for a limited number of selected communities on eligible organization plans or available as a standalone creator subscription.

    Where to find it

Open Social profile > Communities, select the community, and use the relevant Feed, Members, Events, Resources, Courses, Blog, Premium or Settings area. To create a community, choose Create Community from the Communities area.

    How it works

Creator Access is attached to a community owner's creator capabilities; it is not the same as a member paying to join a paid community. Basic community creation remains available without it. Creator Access enables premium creator areas and storage-dependent publishing such as Resources, Courses, Blog or Premium features when those features are configured. Eligible nonprofit plans can include an allowance for selected communities; otherwise the community owner can use the standalone upgrade flow.

    Important details

Community visibility, membership permission, owner permission and Creator Access are separate checks. A person may be able to view a resource without being allowed to create one. Paid membership does not by itself grant creator tools.
