Submit volunteer hours

Overview

Record volunteer hours against the correct opportunity or activity and submit only time that was actually completed.

Where to find it

Social users can open Volunteer to find opportunities. Organizations use Programs & Activities for opportunities and Volunteer & event check-in for attendance; volunteer management is also linked from the nonprofit home.

How it works

1. Open the volunteer activity associated with the work.
2. Enter the date and time actually completed, plus any required note.
3. Check that the opportunity and organization are correct.
4. Submit once; the organization can then review the hours in its approval queue.

Important details

Volunteer sign-up, event attendance and approved volunteer hours are related but distinct records. Select the correct opportunity and avoid estimating or duplicating hours.

If something does not look right

1. Confirm the signed-in profile and current workspace shown in the page header.
2. Capture the page address, time and exact visible error.
3. Do not include passwords, API keys, bank details or full card data.
4. Ask GoodAction Support when the expected control remains unavailable or the saved result differs from this article.
